Marble and natural stone for naval interiors

Lavagnoli has been active in the naval sector since the late 1990s, when the company expanded its operations to include refitting and on-board installation. Since then, its expertise in natural stone processing has developed into an internationally recognised specialisation, with projects carried out on cruise ships, yachts and prestige vessels at major shipyards across Europe and beyond.

The naval environment demands specific technical requirements: controlled weight, tight tolerances, moisture-resistant materials, purpose-built packaging for sea transport, and the ability to install in highly constrained spaces. Lavagnoli addresses these requirements through an integrated production process — from technical development and fabrication to pre-assembly and on-board installation — with close coordination with shipyards and strict adherence to delivery schedules.

Work includes flooring, wall cladding, bathroom countertops, custom sinks, reception desks, staircases and stone furnishings, all produced and installed to the same quality standards applied to the company’s most complex residential and hospitality projects.

Shipyards and cruise lines

Over the years Lavagnoli has worked with leading international shipyards and cruise operators across Italy — Monfalcone, Trieste, Genoa, Marghera, Ancona, Palermo — and at shipyards in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Canada, Singapore and the United States.

Cruise lines and operators include: Carnival, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Crociere, Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line, MSC, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, Orient Express, Princess Cruises, Regent Seven Seas, Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection, Scenic, Silversea Cruises, Viking Cruises and Cruise Saudi.
