Sacred and funerary art is the sector at the origin of Lavagnoli’s history. It was the working of marble for local construction and funerary art that gave rise to the company founded by Luigi Annichini in Verona in 1875. Since then, this tradition has been passed down through generations, refining specific craft skills that continue to define the company’s most elaborate and detailed work.

Projects in this sector require deep technical mastery — column turning, carving, bas-reliefs, inlays, three-dimensional profiling — and a particular sensitivity towards the materials and forms that express contemplation, memory and spirituality. Lavagnoli carries out this work with the same quality standards applied to its most complex architectural projects.

Work includes altars, liturgical elements, baptismal fonts, church and chapel cladding, funerary monuments, sculptures, bases and pedestals, as well as restoration of existing natural stone elements.
